The renewable energy resources market has exploded world wide. The search for a commercially viable renewable energy source is a major focus of corporations and governments. There is a high demand for experienced personnel to support these efforts and short supply of local resources.
Process Developmental Units (PDU's) for Range Fuels and Rentech are being built in Denver.
Range Fuels is a young dynamic corporation that is focused on energy alternatives to fossil fuels. By looking deeper into nature's abundance, it has been discovered that plants, grasses, corn stalks, wood chips, and more can be turned into clean fuel. Even more encouraging, waste products - material left to decay and be buried in our land today - can be recycled into fuel tomorrow. Range Fuels has developed there PDU's and labs in Denver. They are presently under contract with the State of Georgia to produce diesel fuels from wood chips, a 385 million dollar project. They will continue to develop labs and test facilities in the Denver area to validate commercial viable technologies. We have engineered, procured and constructed P&ID's, instrumentation, electrical panels and distribution and heat trace.
The Rentech Company is the world's leading developer of Fischer-Tropsch coal-to-liquids and gas-to-liquids technologies. As such, it is the company's vision to develop technology and projects to transform underutilized hydrocarbon resources such as coal, petroleum coke, remote or stranded natural gas and biomass, into valuable alternative fuels and clean chemicals while providing clean energy solutions to accommodate our nation's growing energy needs. They are building there PDU in Commerce City, Colorado, with a project cost budgeted at 26 million. They will modify and redesign this site for the next 10 years to validate commercially viable technologies. We have engineered, procured and constructed P&ID's, electrical and distribution and heat trace.
The Harris group company is one of many engineering firms in the Denver area in high demand for a company to integrate natural gas systems to support the exploration of these resources. They are presently having their panels, skids, piping and electrical projects construct else where. The electrical and construction support for the Denver natural gas is a multi-million dollar market. Flour Daniels has a 24 billion dollar back log.
Surface mining operations, such as Pits and quarry's, have not incorporated automation at this point and they are now looking at east and west coast automation systems and the gain in production. BEI is staged perfectly to support this effort and has 20 years + experience. We have contacts nation wide in this industry. There is also an on going demand for electrical service contracting on 50 plus plants in the front range of Colorado.
As an electrical contractor, BEI will continue to develop service, maintenance and project work in Colorado. With the completion of project work, the electro/mechanical service becomes proprietary domain for BEIS due to project knowledge, understanding and customer relations.
